It's troubling to see how many students these days have completely zero school pride. They don't bother about their institute, they don't get involved in programs, and they just seem indifferent. It's like they've disregarded what it means to be part of a group and believe in their fellow students. This lack of spirit is negative to the entire school atmosphere.

This Isn't My Old School
When I hear the words "alma mater|my old school|the place where I learned}", it doesn't bring back feelings of warmth and more info nostalgia. For me, it's a vague concept. Maybe because my years there were not like others, or perhaps I simply haven't had the time to reflect. Whatever the reason, that phrase doesn't hold the same significance for me as it does for others.
It's not that I dislike my time at school. It was a time of learning, just not one that resonates in the way many people describe.
Perhaps it's because I discovered my passions away from the traditional school setting. Or maybe it's because my memories are centered around different experiences. Whatever the case, "Not My Alma Mater|My School Is Different|This Isn't My Old School", and that's perfectly okay.

Seriously, school/the whole idea of/that thing they call "school spirit/spirit week/pep rallies" is about as appealing/relevant/interesting to me as a moldy sandwich/root canal/trip to the dentist. I'd rather be practicing my guitar/reading a good book/taking a nap than wearing school swag and screaming at some game I couldn't care less about. Give me brains over brawn any day!

Let's be real, sometimes gathering/ chilling/hanging out with people/ friends/squad is all about the spread/ feast/ bounty! I mean, who can resist a good platter/ selection/ assortment of tasty treats/ goodies/ munchies? It's like a buffet/ an oasis/ the promised land of deliciousness/ yumminess/ pure snacking heaven. Give me pizza rolls any day! I totally prioritize/live for/am here for those snacks/ goodies/ bites that make a gathering/ hangout/ party truly unforgettable.
